The firm now known as CooperAitken was, in 1914, one of the first accounting firms in New Zealand. CooperAitken, as it is today, is the result of growth and amalgamation over the years and it all started with Thomas Ryan in 1914 and Stuart (Tui) Shepherd in 1943.
Our client base has grown substantially over the last few years, and we are very proud that, in some instances, we are working with the 3rd generation of clients.
Rodney Aitken one of our founders says "Our history is important to us, it is a privilege to work with several generations within a family as it provides a solid foundation, so we can truly understand the family's needs."
Trevor Cooper added "As a result of the merges, we have been able to increase our services and draw on more knowledge within the business to add even more value to our clients. We will always seek opportunities to enhance our clients business."
This year, 2014, CooperAitken has achieved 100 years.
