Tax Administrator

We’re seeking the right person to join our busy Tax Team. This Tax Administration Support role provides value added services for our clients. 

This is a service provision role working with both external clients and internal staff to support the process of managing tax assessments and tax issues arising with the IRD. The aim is to ensure clients have up to date tax information available to them at all times.

The ideal applicant will have tax administration experience, intermediate to advanced computer skills, knowledge of APS or similar software package and previous experience working in a NZ Chartered Accounting.. Payroll Officer

We are seeking a talented Payroll professional to join our Morrinsville branch. The ideal person will have proven experience in processing payroll in a fast paced environment and current knowledge of the NZ legislation.

About the role:

  • End to end payroll, weekly/fortnightly and monthly
  • Prepare and process monthly payments required by NZ legislation
  • Responding to and resolving  payroll related queries from external and internal customers
  • Maintaining employee details
  • Reconciliations/balancing wage sheets

About you:

You will have the ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively and be able to build strong working relationships with all types of people.

The ideal applicant will have excellent written and oral communication skills, experience with various payroll software along with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.  An attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is key to this role along with having a bright and confident personality.

Client Software Support

Our Client Software Support Division is a dedicated team providing independent advice to clients on the best software solutions to meet their business needs, and it is growing rapidly.  To support that growth we are looking for a new team member.

The role

  • Setting clients up with accounting and payroll software
  • Provide training and ongoing support to our clients with accounting software and office management/record keeping
  • Provide internal financial software support for our staff
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, software providers and teams within CooperAitken

Essential skills

  • Farming background/experience
  • Payroll knowledge

We are seeking an experienced, Intermediate BAS Accountant to join us in a full time position.  Ideally you will have a relevant degree, diploma or equivalent experience.  Preferably some of this experience would have been gained within a New Zealand Chartered Accountants office. 

You will be professional and ethical in your approach to work, with a sound knowledge of New Zealand accounting principles and tax law.  At the same time you will have strong communication skills, the capability to navigate through systems, and a proven ability to work as part of a team.

We are seeking an experienced, senior BAS accountant to join us.  Ideally you will have a relevant degree, diploma or equivalent experience.  Preferably with experience gained within a New Zealand Chartered Accountants office. Farm accounting knowledge, would be an advantage.

You enjoy working with current technology and you might have worked with client software such as Xero or MYOB.

You will like to solve problems and look for solutions.

You will be professional and ethical in your approach to work, with a sound knowledge of New Zealand accounting principles and tax law.  At the same time you will have strong communication skills, the capability to navigate through systems, and a proven ability to work as part of a team.  The position is full-time based in our Morrinsville Office.
